The internet is going crazy today with new information (via Comic-Con) about the upcoming Superman movie Man of Steel. Warner Bros/DC Comics have released a new poster and teaser trailer, and despite the skepticism many people have (including me after experiencing the crapfest known as Superman Returns), the new movie Man of Steel is starting to look really good.

The teaser trailer video is hard to find but I assume versions will be popping up all over mainsteam internet in the next few days. The version I saw online was from a mobile phone at the back of the hall and poor quality but the audio was enough to get excited about. From the trailer alone, Russel Crowe delivers a speech as Jor-El, we see a serious Smallville and we get glimses of our Kryptonian born Kal-El flying through the skies with his red cape cutting through the wind. Two words: yeah baby. Check it out here (I hope it's still up).

We also learn from Comic-Con reports that the filming has now officially finished and Zack Snyder and his team are working on post-production. There have also been hints at a Justice League film (following Marvel's Avengers success no doubt) but for now we get to see an official Man of Steel trailer before Dark Knight Rises opens on friday. That's two great reasons to go to the cinema next week!!!

It's been reported that Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill were both on the panel when asked by fans who would win in a fight between Nolan's Batman and Snyder's Superman, the director answered: “I love Batman, right? He’s awesome, literally awesome. But, like … really?” - well put Zack, spot on.

Will the daddy of Superheroes finally be revealed to a new generation as the awesome hero he actually is?

I really hope so.
